CFTA / CETA Compliance Features

Bonfire has built-in features to help buyers stay compliant with both the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and the Canada-European Union (EU) Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

NOTE: If you are interested in having these features enabled for your portal, please contact Bonfire Support at Support@GoBonfire.com.

Open/Close Date

All Projects (regardless of whether the organization has the CFTA / CETA Compliance Feature enabled or not) will by default be set to be open for 25 days, but same as always, the Project Owner can still choose their own dates.

However, Organizations with the CFTA / CETA Compliance Feature enabled will be warned that they are non-compliant if they set their Project to be open for less than 25 days:

Award Notices

All awarded projects (regardless of whether the Organization has the CFTA Compliance Feature enabled or not) that appear in the Past Public Opportunities tab on the purchasing portal will have a green Awarded status badge instead of the grey Closed status badge, so that the Award Notice information is easily accessible (as required by CFTA / CETA):

You also now have the ability to craft and customize your own Public Award Notice template, allowing you to quickly publish Award Notices that are compliant with the trade agreements. The Award Notices are readily accessible through your public purchasing portal by simply navigating to the Project Details page and clicking the View Award button.
