Info-only Questions and Questionnaires

This article will show you how to create Information-Only Questionnaires (i.e., Questionnaires that do not require scoring). Bonfire allows you to mark individual Questions, Question Sets, or entire Questionnaires as Information-Only. This means that vendors will be asked to answer the question, but reviewers will not be scoring the answer to the question.

Let's take a look at an example of how to make a typical question into an Information-Only question. Navigate to the Questionnaires section and locate the Questionnaire you wish to edit. Then, click on the Actions button and select Edit.

Below we see the Edit Questionnaire screen. The points associated with each question in the Questionnaire is indicated by the red box in the picture below. Let's say we no longer wanted to have question #1.0.1 be scored (i.e., make it viewable as an Info-Only question). To do this, click on the Edit button (shaped like a pencil) as shown by the arrow in the picture below.

Below we see the Edit Question modal. At the moment, this question is worth 5 points. To make it an Info-Only question, click on the Set as Info Only button beside the Points heading.

After setting the question as Info-Only, this question is marked as Info Only under the points heading. To save the change, click on the Save button at the bottom of the Edit Question modal.

After clicking save, Bonfire returns to the Edit Questionnaire screen and we can see that question #1.0.1 is now an Info-Only question. If you wish to make multiple questions or entire question sets into Info-Only questions, you can select multiple questions at once using the checkboxes on the left-hand side of the screen. To edit the selected questions, click on the Bulk Edit Questions button indicated by the red arrow

The Bulk Edit Questions module will open, where you can edit all of the selected questions at once. The selected questions can be edited by clicking on the Change Points checkbox on the left-hand side of the screen, and then clicking on the Set as Info Only button. To save the edits, simply click on the Save button.

After clicking on the Save button, Bonfire will return to the Edit Questionnaire screen. It can now be seen that multiple questions have been turned into Info-Only questions.

These steps can be repeated to create Info-Only questions amongst all of the question sets if needed.
