Why can I not view some documents or submission files in Bonfire?

From time to time, you as a Buyer may find that there are some PDF documents that aren't clickable and therefore can't be viewed in Bonfire's Document Viewer. This is because they are saved as a "Portfolio PDF", which is the format that PDFs created in Adobe products typically take.

Because Adobe owns the technology behind Portfolio PDFs, these PDFs cannot be opened in any other program, including Bonfire's Document Viewer. In this case, we suggest downloading the document for viewing by hitting Actions -> Download, as the Document Viewer only provides a preview of the submission files and may not load or display all aspects of the vendors' originally uploaded document.

If the document is one originally provided by you or your organization (e.g., a form or template for vendors to fill out), it is suggested that you save and upload your files in a more open format to allow others without access to Adobe PDF readers to view them.
