Why do I receive an error when I try to load a Bonfire Portal?


When trying to load a Bonfire Portal, you get an error such as:

"This page can't be displayed" - Internet Explorer

"Secure Connection Failed" - Firefox

"Safari can't open the page" - Safari 


The cause may be that you need to update the security settings in your browser. As part of our ongoing dedication to internet security, we have decided to disable access to Bonfire Portals using the TLS 1.0 protocol. 


The simplest solution is to ensure your browser is up to date or download the most current version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers. 

Internet Explorer is no longer supported and you will receive a message to upgrade your browser. 

NOTE: Most major browsers (including but not limited to) Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari have announced that they will be disabling TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 in 2020.
